May 12, 2009 - Saint-Gobain selects Sinequa Corporate Search as global infrastructure search engine to support knowledge management and diffusion
Saint-Gobain, a global industrial giant, has selected Sinequa Corporate Search as its enterprise search solution. Sinequa CS will allow a multitude of business units using the information system to conduct research on different sources of content, while respecting the security access rights to information including document repositories, websites, databases, and portal and company directory. This new service has a single interface, available in the Group portal.
The Sinequa Corporate Search solution was chosen from a list of 10 solutions for the richness of its interface, the relevance of search results, and rapid and secure integration within the existing IT infrastructure. Four solutions were pre-selected and used in technical and advanced functional testing environments over a period of several weeks. As a result of these tests, the Sinequa solution appeared as the only one able to manage the connection to all information sources, while providing a high level of search functionality. The ease of deployment and IT administration were also appreciated criteria.
Jean Ferré, President of Sinequa said “Saint-Gobain is one of the most dynamic and innovative global companies with a variety of businesses, cultures and products rarely found in the industry. These types of global business leaders, active in mergers and acquisitions, are particularly sensitive to the importance of having the ability to locate the right information in a secure way, to find internal experts and thus accelerate the diffusion of knowledge.”
