Your Role:

Customer Success Engineer is a technical expert in Sinequa software focused on helping one or two customers get the most out of the platform. This occurs in a variety of ways, from providing technical assistance in the software, educating the customer on its capabilities and applications, learning the ins and outs of the customer’s business, and providing best practice guidance for its deployment, use, and application. In short, the Customer Solutions Engineer is a consultative business partner who helps the customer with both big-picture strategy and operational guidance to maximize their value from, use of, and satisfaction with Sinequa’s Cognitive Search and Analytics platform.

In order to best perform their duties, Customer Success Engineers spend a majority of their time onsite with the customer. When not onsite, they may come to the NYC office for collaboration and training/learning with coworkers, or may work from home. Customer Success Engineers are comfortable with complex technical topics including varied enterprise data stores, the nature of search tools, technical nuances of software and hardware, the operational aspects of enterprise applications, and even coding from time to time.

Your Focus on the Customer:

You will work with the customer to:

  • Maximize the value your customer(s) receive from the use of Sinequa
  • Ensure success with their implementation and deployment of Sinequa
  • Optimize the Sinequa platform and its performance
  • Proactively work to maximize ensure satisfaction and maximize value recognition
  • Proactively work to maximize ensure satisfaction and maximize value recognition
  • Continuously enhance Sinequa’s use and benefit
  • Educate your customer(s) on Sinequa’s operation
  • Help customer identify new ways the Sinequa platform can be used within their organization

Your Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that the Sinequa platform provides value for the customer
  • Assist customer with the deployment of new features and capabilities
  • Collaborate to resolve issues, either individually or by coordinating with a broader Sinequa team
  • Work with customer operations teams to ensure operational excellence
  • Know the customer’s business and help to make sure all Sinequa departments are supporting their needs effectively
  • Meet regularly with the business and IT stakeholders to discuss Sinequa’s deployment, usage, and expansion plans, and offer best practices to extend its reach and improve its operation
  • Help customer identify new ways the Sinequa platform can be used within their organization
  • Educate customers on how to get the most out of Sinequa’s capabilities
  • Connect/facilitate any interactions with Sinequa’s technical staff (R&D, ML experts, etc.)

Your Background:

  • Minimum of 5 years of customer-focused experience, either in a relationship management role or in a consulting role
  • Minimum 2 years experience of technical implementation and technologies (such as HTML, CSS, Javascript) and programming with a modern language (such as .NET, C#, Java)
  • Demonstrated ability to work directly with customers to understand their needs
  • Experience in using/developing complex enterprise platforms and applications
  • Deep understanding of the Microsoft Windows operating system and high proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (CS/IS/IT, engineering)
  • Experience with search and search platforms
  • Experience with unstructured data (NLP, text processing)

Bonus points for:

  • Master’s degree, especially in a technical field
  • Experience with search and search platforms
  • Experience in designing software UI and UX focused on user needs and business use cases
  • Experience with analytics, business intelligence, or data science
  • Experience or formal training in databases and structured data
