Your Role:

Sinequa is looking for a Sales Engineer to join our growth North America team. If you enjoy helping customers connect technology with the needs of their business and are interested in joining a dynamic, innovative team in a fun, entrepreneurial environment, you could be the right fit for our search. In this position, you will work with customers to find technical solutions that address the challenges of their business. The Sales Engineer will bring technical expertise and deep knowledge of Sinequa’s offerings to the entire pre-sales process to plan and deliver PoCs built using Sinequa software showcasing the platform’s capabilities in the customer’s business context. The Sales Engineer is able to translate customer needs and identify the technical capabilities and approach that best address those needs. The Sales Engineer crafts communicates and demonstrates the benefits that a Sinequa solution provides.

In this role, you will work with a tight-knit group of driven Sales Managers, and other Sales and Solution Engineers in a highly-collaborative environment. You will receive training on Sinequa’s software platform and exposure to advanced technology (NLP, ML, LLMs) as well as frontend technologies.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Sales team by partnering with Sales Managers and Sales Executives to participate in discovery calls and to understand the customer’s needs.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the customer’s business drivers by designing and presenting solutions that deliver value.
  • Build and give demonstrations of Sinequa software, explaining the benefits of its various features.
  • Create and deliver tailored presentations that speak to Sinequa’s capabilities, experience, and suitability for the prospect’s goals.
  • Identify customer goals in the sales process to scope and define Proofs-of-Concept (including resource and timeline estimates) to address their needs and guide vision.
  • Drive the execution of PoCs in collaboration with our solution engineer team.
  • Provide leadership and coaching, define best practices, and elevate the team’s delivery.
  • Educate prospects in technical details and capabilities of Sinequa software.
  • Respond to RFIs and RFPs, reviewing answers to technical questions.

Your Background:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (CS/IS/IT, engineering) required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of direct and highly technical pre-sales experience selling a highly-configurable software product/platform, including software presentations, demonstrations, and PoCs (as a pre-sales engineer, sales engineer, solution architect, or equivalent).
  • Hands-on technical configuration expertise with an enterprise-class software platform.
  • Experience selling to VP and C-level executives in complex sales processes for Fortune 1000 enterprises with many buyers, including direct interaction with IT and business stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated success in customer-facing roles.
  • Hands-on exposure/demonstrated knowledge of (or at the very least, formal training in) web application development and technologies (such as HTML, CSS, Javascript) and programming in a modern language (such as .NET, C#, Java).
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
  • Proven track record of uncovering and meeting customer needs.
  • Knowledge on how to tailor software demonstrations to the audience for the greatest possible impact.
  • Comfortable giving presentations to senior leaders and medium-sized groups.
  • Sales-minded but with technical interests; desires to be hands-on with technology.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Team player who thrives on collaboration.
  • Adaptable and flexible with the ability to operate effectively a fast-paced environment, eschewing routine.
