About the Role:

Sinequa is looking for a seasoned Sales Engineer specialized in the Manufacturing sector to join our North America team. Armed with a deep knowledge of our platform and its real-world applicability, you will team up with an account executive to articulate the value and the technical benefits of our solution to our prospects and customers with demos or ad-hoc presentations. You will plan and own the delivery of PoCs showcasing the platform’s capabilities and its value in the customer’s business context. You love putting yourself in prospects’ shoes, demonstrating empathy and learning about their pain points so that you can design and present a spot on solutions. As the manufacturing sales expert, you will make an impactful contribution to our manufacturing solutions offering to strengthen our messaging and key value propositions.

In this role you will work with a tight-knit group of driven Sales Managers, other Sales and Solution Engineers in a highly-collaborative environment. You will receive training on Sinequa’s software platform and exposure to advanced technology (NLP, ML, LLMs) as well as frontend technologies.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Sales team by partnering with Sales Managers and Sales Executives to participate on discovery calls and to understand the customer’s needs with a focus on the Manufacturing sector
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the customer’s business drivers by designing and presenting solutions that deliver value.
  • Build and give demonstrations of Sinequa software, explaining the benefits of its various features.
  • Create and deliver tailored presentations that speak to Sinequa’s capabilities, experience, and suitability for the prospect’s goals.
  • Identify customer goals in the sales process to scope and define Proofs-of-Concept (including resource and timeline estimates) to address their needs and guide vision.
  • Drive the execution of PoCs with the support of our solution engineer team.
  • Be a key contributor to our Manufacturing solutions offering and support the Product Marketing Team to deliver highly relevant content
  • Respond to RFIs and RFPs, reviewing answers to technical questions.

Your Background:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (CS/IS/IT, or Electrical/Mechanical Engineering) required
  • Minimum of 3 years of direct and highly technical pre-sales experience selling a highly configurable software product/platform used in the manufacturing industry ideally PLM (PTC Windchill, Teamcenter, Aras, etc.), including software presentations, demonstrations, and PoCs (as a pre-sales engineer, sales engineer, solution architect, or equivalent)
  • Hands-on technical configuration expertise with an enterprise-class software platform
  • Experience selling to VP and C-level executives in complex sales processes for Fortune 1000 enterprises with many buyers, including direct interaction with IT and business stakeholders
  • Hands-on exposure and knowledge of (or at the very least, formal training in) web application development and technologies (such as HTML, CSS, Javascript) and programming in a modern language (such as .NET, C#, Java)

Bonus Skills:

  • Experience with search features and search platforms
  • Experience with analytics, business intelligence, or data science
  • Experience with Machine Learning, Generative AI and Large Language Models
  • Experience with unstructured data (NLP, text processing)
  • Familiarity with enterprise content management systems
  • You are comfortable in a multicultural setting
  • Ease with working in evolving environments and in a startup setting

  • Comfortable giving presentations/product demonstrations to senior leaders and medium-sized groups
  • Capability to tactfully navigate and effectively address client messaging and recommendations.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Ability to quickly define dependencies, and issues, and outline mitigation plans against risks.
  • Ability to communicate effectively to both the technology and business communities.

Compensation for this role is in the form of base salary, plus a company performance based bonus. The typical base salary range for new hires in this role is listed below.

These ranges represent the lowest to highest salary we reasonably and in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the ranges may be modified in the future.
