Your role:

The Sales Engineer brings technical sales expertise, in-depth knowledge of Sinequa’s offering and how we can solve business problems based on real-life projects-supporting the Sales Managers during the entire pre-sales process.

Sales Engineers understand customer’s needs and translate those into why Sinequa is the ideal platform to address those needs. Sales Engineer will design solutions that bring together Sinequa’s key technical capabilities such as Search, NLP, Machine Learning to convince technical and business audiences that Sinequa is the right platform to deliver business value. This process involves excellent communication, ability to demonstrate the product for various verticals and articulate the benefits that Sinequa's solution provides.

At Sinequa, you will work with a tight-knit group of smart, driven Sales Managers, Sales Engineers and Solution Engineers in a highly-collaborative environment. You will receive training on Sinequa’s software platform and exposure to advanced technology (NLP, ML, Search, TensorFlow).

Preference is NYC but open to remote .

Your responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate an understanding of the customer’s business and how Sinequa can bring value to their situation
  • Assist the sales team by partnering with Sales Managers to participate on prospect sales calls and understand customer needs
  • Give demonstrations of Sinequa software, explaining the benefits of its various features
  • Create and deliver tailored presentations and demonstrations that speak to Sinequa’s capabilities, experience, and suitability for the prospect’s goals
  • Identify customer goals in the sales process to scope and define Proofs-of-Concept (including resource and timeline estimates) to address their needs and guides vision
  • Oversee and manage the execution of PoCs when required
  • Educate prospects on technical details and capabilities of Sinequa software
  • Respond to RFIs and RFPs, reviewing answers to technical questions
  • Minor travel (20-40%) post-pandemic

Your background:

  • Several years of direct and highly technical pre-sales experience selling a highly configurable software product/platform in the data space
  • Superior communication skills for software presentations, demonstrations, and PoCs (as a pre-sales engineer, sales engineer, solution architect, or equivalent)
  • Experience selling software deals to VP and C-level executives in complex sales processes for Global 2000 enterprises with many buyers, including direct interaction with IT and business stakeholders
  • Demonstrated success in customer-facing roles
  • Hands-on exposure/demonstrated knowledge of (or at the very least, formal training in) web application development and technologies (such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript), programming in a modern language (such as .NET, C#, Java) and cloud architectures
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (CS/IS/IT, engineering) and Master’s degree in a technical field or an MBA (preferred)

Bonus points for:

  • Experience with search and search platforms
  • Experience with analytics, business intelligence, or data science
  • Experience with Machine Learning and/or Big Data
  • Experience with unstructured data (NLP, text processing)
  • Familiarity with enterprise content management systems
