Enterprise AI · Built for your environment

Illumina runs on systems of record. Your AI should too.

See how Sinequa helps Illumina teams access design records, FDA submissions, SOPs, and quality docs across Teamcenter, SAP, and connected systems for faster decisions and audit readiness:

• Access Teamcenter, SAP, and governed quality & design data
• Give engineering, quality, and regulatory teams traceable answers they can act on
• Permission-aware, deployment-flexible, enforced at query time for regulated environments

Getting AI to work across Teamcenter, SAP, SharePoint, and Confluence — securely and at scale — is genuinely hard. Most organizations are further along in ambition than infrastructure. Sinequa closes that gap: accurate, traceable answers across every system your engineers rely on, with permissions enforced and compliance built in.

Built for where the data is most complex and the stakes are highest

Backed by independent recognition from Gartner, Forrester, and SPARK Matrix™ and by results in the world’s most regulated, documentation-heavy enterprises.

Sinequa is simply great technology. We immediately saw its benefit watching it perform something we didn’t know was possible. It makes an exponential difference for our organization. We were also impressed with the number of smart connectors available out-of-the-box and Sinequa’s unique ability to develop new ones.

Illumina runs on knowledge and data your AI tools can’t reach yet.

In genomics, the answer your teams need rarely sits in a chat thread. It’s in the current revision of an instrument design in Teamcenter. The design history file. The validated quality record. The supplier spec in SAP. The regulatory submission that has to hold up to an auditor.

That knowledge lives in PLM, CAD, QMS, and ERP, systems most search tools and most in-house builds were never built to reach reliably. And an AI assistant is only as good as the systems it can actually get inside, with permissions enforced and entities understood.

Sinequa reaches the systems of record where your engineering, quality, and regulatory knowledge actually lives, not just the collaboration tools your teams happen to talk in.

What to require from an enterprise AI platform before you commit

Demos and connector checklists rarely surface the differences that decide a deployment in a regulated, PLM-heavy environment. These are the questions that do.

1

Reach into your systems of record, not just the collaboration layer.

Teamcenter, SAP, the quality and design systems, these are core infrastructure at Illumina, and most platforms can’t reliably pull everything that lives inside them. Indexing SharePoint and Confluence is the easy 20%.

2

Index the entity types, not just the documents.

Connecting to Teamcenter isn’t the same as understanding it. The real question isn’t “is it supported?”, it’s whether the platform indexes PLM entity types and relationships so an engineer can trust the answer, trace it to the source, and act on it.

3

Replicate permissions and ACLs, enforced at query time.

In a regulated environment, an answer that exposes what a user isn’t cleared to see is a compliance failure. Teamcenter ACL replication is notoriously hard to get right, require document-level access control enforced at query time, across complex permission models, out of the box.

4

Deployment control and maturity.

Cloud, hybrid, on-premise, or air-gapped. Ask how much experience the vendor has actually running that way in production. For IP-sensitive instrument design and regulated data, deployment control is a requirement, not a preference.

5

Answers you can validate and trace.

A wrong answer in genomics isn’t a minor inconvenience, it’s a delayed change order, a quality finding, or a regulatory risk. Require concise answers that carry the underlying evidence, so every response can be verified and stands up to an audit trail.

6

Proven in production, not a build you’re still waiting on.

The honest test: is this running reliably in comparable enterprises today, or is it a multi-month custom build still chasing the systems of record it promised to reach? Require evidence of production deployments at your scale and complexity.

These requirements are drawn from the patterns we see across the industry’s most complex deployments. Read the State of Enterprise Agentic AI 2026 →

A connector that lists Teamcenter and a connector that indexes it are not the same thing

Most connectors authenticate, crawl, and call it done. The two places they fail are the two places that decide a deployment: replicating Teamcenter’s access controls, and indexing PLM entity types and relationships rather than flat documents.

Get those wrong and you ship answers that are incomplete, or that expose what a user isn’t cleared to see.

Sinequa’s connectors have handled both, in production, for years. The depth shows up in three places that decide whether an answer holds up:

  • Right answer, right person. Every answer respects your existing permissions, no one sees what they shouldn’t, even in regulated work.
  • Answers you can trace. Results connect back to the actual source, so teams can verify and act with confidence instead of double-checking.
  • Proven, not in progress. Indexed across systems like Teamcenter, SAP, and Oracle for years and kept current, not rebuilt every time something changes.
